  1. Your metabolism is like a campfire. If you supply it with good wood and stoke it at regular intervals you'll have a nice hot fire that will last all day. Not giving the fire enough wood at the right interval causes it to become a slow burning fire or a fire that peaks when it's given fuel and then smolders. If you put all the wood on at one time the fires slows or goes out. This is how most people treat their metabolism.
